Brent’s doctoral research examines how New Testament authors quote, echo, and reframe Old Testament texts within new literary and theological settings. The work combines close reading, historical context, and intertextual analysis to understand not only which earlier passages are invoked, but how those scriptural relationships shape the argument of the New Testament text.
